Together with my colleaque Gabriele Hooffacker (HTWK Leipzig), the first volume of the new series „Leipziger Beiträge zur Spielekultur“ has been published at Springer: Gaming in Germany and especially in Saxony – quo vadis? Playful Work, Game Thinking, Gamification – just Buzzwords? And what is transmedial storytelling? The volume brings together the contributions of the Science MashUp 2020, which accompanied the traditional 14th. „Long Night of Video Games“ at the HTWK Leipzig. It combines studies from the social and cultural sciences with contributions from practice. In addition, with interviews with actors from industy, business, arts, and academia, the volume provides a starting point for future reflections on developments in the game studies, the games industry, and related fields.
